Welcome to March ...

We are now making it even easier to enter our challenges - use our inlinkz gallery on the left or click onto our new Facebook public group (ARTastic challenges) and put your entry directly into our monthly album under photos.

This month our inspiration comes to you by Poncho Army with Freedom in Ruins.

CRITERIA - Monochromatic (can be any colour)

A little about Poncho Army ...

Trina Collins, who works under the pseudonym Poncho Army, is an artist who isn’t afraid to get some paint under her fingernails. The central theme for Poncho Army’s art is the exploration of contrasts – between urban and rural spaces, between internal and external realities, between melancholy and joy. She loves to capture youthful innocence and often draws upon her experiences growing up in a shrinking rural landscape to gather inspiration for her work.

And now some inspiration from our team ...

I chose pink.burgandy hues this month for my monochrome layout. This photo was taken 19 years ago the day after our wedding. I printed the photo in greyscale to tone in with the layout. I hope you like it!

'Chihuahua on duty'. You can see our chihuahua Duke's little head sticking out behind the curtains. Orange was my go to color!

I went with the darkness theme and scrapped some photographs from a rainy, overcast day.

I thought I'd choose black as my momochromatic colour. I dont think I have ever created a just black layout before.
