Roxanne McCleary - So Happy To Have You
Hi, Shazza, here is my entry for this month's challenge! I used the April '11 kit from Scrap-tures, a Canadian-based kit club and store, to make the majority of this page, and added some white cardstock and distress inks that weren't in the kit. The patterned papers, stamps, brads and stickers are all from My Mind's Eye, and the yellow cardstock for the sun is Bazzill. I used a lot of Perfect Pearls (which also came in the kit) for all that beautiful shine. Hope you like it!
Sincerely,
Roxanne McCleary

Hey Roxanne!
Firstly thanks for joining in this month, we love to see newbies have a go at the challenges :) What wonderful photos you have used! That sun is just the best using the 'Perfect Pearls' to add some dimension....just fab!
The best thing I like about your page is your hand cut tree, I love it when you can add your own handcut shapes to your layouts. I love the shapes of your clouds too, overall a great entry which you should be proud of :) Cheers Shazza
Welcome to ARTastic and thanks for joining in! I love the happy feel this layout has and the photos are gorgeous too! xxx
ReplyDeletethanks for joining in we love seeing new faces having a go at the challenges, and wow im loving what you did here, just a gorgeous layout
ReplyDeleteRox, this is just gorgeous, I too love what you did with that Scriptures kit, looks divine by the way...and what you made with the gorgeous sun is just beautiful. I just love your tree, did you freehand this or is it cut from a piece of paper. I just love everything. Melxx
ReplyDeleteCool work great handcutting to at the tree and sun and clouds
ReplyDeleteHey ladies, thanks for your lovely comments! And hi, Mel, to answer your question, I first drew out the tree bits on scrap paper, then traced them and cut them from pp and white (for the top of the tree). It took me a while to get the tracers how I wanted, so I'm going to keep them in case I need them for another layout!
ReplyDeleteHello Roxy and welcome to ARTastic! What a wonderful LO you've submitted! I do love the sheen in your sun and clouds, the background PP, and the adorable photos of your little one!
