Septembers inspiration will come from the painting........

Almond Blossom by Vincent Van Gogh

(As suggested by Peggy Schenkels)

Diva Demand for an extra 6 bonus points try and
work the following into your layout.

1. Blue Background = 1 pt
2. White flowers = 2 pts
3. Brown or White title = 3 pts

NOTE - From June we are now looking for individual entries for ARTastic, you may combine your entry with a sketch but we no longer want entries that combine other challenges as we feel the ladies that do the right thing and take the time to enter independent entries are disadvantaged when it comes to winning prizes. If it means we lose a few entries, so be it!

The inlinkz post will go up shortly!

The Design Team have put together some great submissions,
so lots of inspiration to share with you all  :)

Almond Blossom by Vincent Van Gogh

Wednesday 28th September at midnight.

Helene's submission for September....

Helene Bogren - Naturbarn

Come meet our Guest DT for September......

Helen Bogren

I have always loved playing with colors in different ways, which has resulted in hobbies like interior design, to design and sew clothing, and gardening/garden design. When I found out about scrapbooking that quickly became my new passion! I just love the colors, patterned papers, trims, embellishments, mists, and so on… When scrapping I like to use a lot of different mist, ink, acrylic paint, gesso, masks, and stamps on the background. I also like to use dies and punches, and to cluster the embellishments. I LOVE challenges and when I create for a challenge I try to capture the feeling in the picture, and not only to pick up the colors. I think that makes it even more fun!

I live in south of Sweden (with my husband and our almost three year old daughter). Since I started my blog I have found out that scrapping has a fantastic side effect – you get to know people from all over the world and gain insight into what it’s like to live in other places! I love that! So of course I hope that you will pop into my blog and write a few words – and perhaps become a follower..!

Here are some of Helenes gorgeous pages.......

Could everyone make Helene welcome at ARTastic and dont forget to check out her blog at
and become a follower :)

Sarah's submission.....

Sarah Rogers -Kiss

Here is my page for the September challenge  -  Kiss.
The page is of our wedding day back in 1996! Such a great day, this being one of our less official and relaxed moments away from the guests.
I have included all the diva demands:
Blue background, white flowers and a white  title.
Take care
Sarah xxoo

Peggy's submission.....

Peggy Schenkels - Still in Love

Attached you will find my September submission.   I really loved this month's challenge, and as soon as I saw that painting, I knew I had the perfect flowery paper to use.  Choosing the papers was easy, and in truth, this LO was finished in no time.  Finished I say ... but ... I kept it on my desk for days, glancing at it every time I passed, wondering what else I should add.  You see, I don't think I had ever finished a LO this fast, and it almost felt unnatural, like I was cheating or something.  However, in this case, I do hope you agree with me that sometimes less is more, because in fact, I do love this LO as is, and so I decided against adding anything else.
The pic features my hubby and me, and believe it or not, we took this pic ourselves!  The quality of the pic isn't all that, but there's just something about this pic, about how my husband's looking at me, which made me fall in love with it straight away.  Your challenge was the perfect opportunity to give this pic the scrapbook page it deserves, so thanks again Shazz!
xxx Peggy

Michelle's submission.....

Michelle Lark - On the Move!

Hi Shazza,

Here is my layout for September's painting "Almond Blossom" by Van Gogh. I have created a blue background using various patterned papers, included some pretty white Prima flowers and chose brown for my title. I had fun with it and love how it turned out. Thanks Peggy - great choice!!

Karen's submission for September

Karen Knight - Son Kissed

Hi Shazza....
Here is my sept DT LO... This was a fantastic
challenge, and got me thinking outside my
normal circles...
I didn't want to just use some blue PP or
cardstock for my blue background, so i made
it myself, by misting some old book pages
and then sticking them on a backing card
to form my background... really like how
it turned out.
Have added in all my diva demands for
this month ..
1. Blue backgorund: check
2. White flowers: check
3. Brown or white tittle: check
I love this photo of Ash and I and am
so glad i got a chance to use it in this
Looking forward to next month..
hugs Karen xxx

Debi's submission for September

Debi Clark -So Loved

Hello Shazza,
Spring is sprung with this lovely painting titled 'Almond Blossom'
hasn't it! Loads of potential for great LO's here don't you think
I chose to scrap a photo of my dear mum & dear daughter,
a few years ago. What a a lovely time I had with blue papers,
distressing it & also some doodled edges & a bit of
colouring in too...that is the best! I have added a cluster of
white flowers & titled my page 'So Loved' with white
alphas. I have journaled too, which is always great for
someone to read in a few years.
Thank you for this great inspiration Shazza,
Cheers, Debi Clark
