This month our inspiration comes to you from Elioth Gruner with Orchard. I love the softness of this piece of art and who doesn't like chickens? - they are such happy little creatures! Please use ANY rural or backyard garden scenes (doesn't need to be chickens).
CRITERIA - Use a rural or backyard garden scene plus add some feathers in some way
Elioth Gruner was born in New Zealand in 1882 and arrived in Australia with his parents when he was still a baby. He began art lessons at the age of 12 and rose to become one of the most popular landscape artists of his day. He was awarded the Wynne Prize for landscape no fewer than seven times between 1916 and 1937, including for some of his Murrumbidgee paintings.
And now some inspiration from our team ...
(in no particular order)
Karen Guy (Australia)
Had fun with this challenge, found the perfect photos from a weekend in Warwick!
Karen Brierley - (Australia)
We keep chickens at home, so I have an endless supply of chook photographs! This is 'Twitter' - the first rooster we raised from our own hatchlings.
Dale Tiernan - (Australia)
Jane Howden - (Australia)
I have used up some really old Jenni Bowlin products I have had in my stash to document part of a farm stay my family enjoyed last year.
Our main prize winner is selected by random draw - so anyone could be a winner, no matter your style or your level of experience or your country of residence. If there are more than 8 entries in the month a second prize (donated each month by one of our team) will be drawn from amongst our Australian entrants.
Now over to you ......
Please upload your entries directly to the monthly album in our Facebook public group (ARTastic challenges) by midnight on the last day of the month - please remember we are an Australian based challenge so do check your day and time. For anyone not on Facebook, simply email us your entry and if you have a blog, a link to that too so we can still pop past for a visit. You may combine your entry with 3 other challenges. You may enter more than once in any month as long as each submission is with a different creation. International entries are very welcome.
We hope you might find time to play along with our challenge.
